Fostering Employee Work-life Balance

  • We have adopted a flextime system that allows employees to work during a core period of the day where employees are required to be at work. Employees can choose when they work outside this core period which is a way to increase their productivity level.
  • At PeptiDream, we value creating a work-life balance environment during the course of the day. There is no taking home laptops or use of a smartphone to manage work after returning home. As laboratory work is the main focus for scientists, we have no homework in principle. We value a work style that focuses on operations during working hours and encourage employees to enjoy their personal time after work.
  • We have company-designated holidays twice a year (Golden Week, year-end and New Year’s holidays) that allows employees to enjoy holidays with more than 10 consecutive days off. We aim to promote a work-life balance that allows employees to come back refreshed by these holidays every six months.

Promoting Life Event Support for
a Sustainable Career

  • With a young average employee age and a large number of employees experiencing child-rearing, we actively support employees taking childcare leave. We have a high rate of employees taking childcare leave, regardless of their gender and position within the organization- from junior employees to managers.
  • We have established our own short-time regular employee system to support diverse work styles and a childcare/nursing care short-time support allowance that supports reduced salaries due to shortened working hours. PeptiDream supports various ways of working that enable employees to continue their careers even during various life events such as childcare and nursing care.
