Privacy Policy
PeptiDream Inc. (3-25-23, Tonomachi, Kawasaki-ku, Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa Prefecture; "the Company") believes that it is our responsibility to recognize the importance of personal information (personal information as set forth in Paragraph 1 of Article 2 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, related to a living individual and may identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, or other description contained in such information (including information that can be easily collated with other information and thereby identify a specific individual, collectively, “Personal Information”), and to appropriately manage Personal Information. The Company will comply with laws, regulations, and other guidelines concerning Personal Information and Specific Personal Information (Personal Information related to social security and tax number) in connection with the handling of Personal Information and will appropriately comply with our company regulations regarding Personal Information and Specific Personal Information, and the following policy.
1. Purpose of Acquisition and Use of Personal Information
The Company will acquire and use Personal Information for the following purposes only to the extent necessary to accomplish such purposes, unless stipulated or required otherwise by laws and regulations. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company will obtain specific Personal Information and sensitive Personal Information from individuals only upon consent of such individuals.
(1) Personal Information relating to the customers
a) To contact customers
b) To review, investigate, and respond to customer inquiries
c) To bill and deliver goods
d) To exercise rights and fulfill obligations under laws and contracts with customers
e) To perform our business appropriately and smoothly
(2) Personal Information relating to shareholders
a) To exercise rights and the perform obligations under the Companies Act
b) To offer benefits to shareholders which shareholders are entitled to
c) To implement various measures to facilitate the relationship between shareholders and the Company
For the purpose of exercising rights and fulfilling obligations under laws and contracts with customers
d) To exercise rights and fulfill obligations under laws and contracts with customers
e) For the management of shareholders, such as the preparation of shareholders' data in accordance with the
standards under the applicable laws
(3) Personal Information related to employees, job applicants, and retirees
a) To perform recruitment selection
b) To manage employment of employees
c) To provide necessary information to retirees
The Company will properly dispose of the documents submitted by job applicants (resumes, etc.) and without returning them.
2.Provision of Personal Information to a Third Party
(1) The Company will not provide Personal Information (including sensitive Personal Information) to any third party except in the following cases:
a) Upon obtaining prior consent and approval of the employee
b) To comply with laws and regulations
c) When necessary for the protection of life, body,
or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
d) When necessary for public health and child
welfare purposes, and is difficult to obtain the consent of the employee
e) When necessary to cooperate with proceedings by government organizations etc. and obtaining consent from the
individual may cause adverse effect to such proceedings
f) When necessary for academic research (except where there is a risk of unjustly infringing an individual's
interests)
g) Disclosure of information to attorneys at law, certified accountants, certified tax accountants, and others
with
legal obligations of confidentiality to the extent necessary for business
h) The business of the Company is succeeded, in whole or in part, by merger, company split, transfer of
business, etc.
(2)The Company will not provide any specific Personal Information to any third party except to comply with laws and regulations.
3. Third-party Entrustment
In the event the Company entrust the work to a third party in accordance with the Paragraph 1 above, the Company shall exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over such third party in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
4. Storage and Management of Personal Information
(1) The Company will appoint a Personal Information protection manager to properly manage Personal Information.
(2) The Company will provide full-time officers and employees (collectively, “Employees”) with training on the protection and proper management of Personal Information, and will ensure thorough implementation of proper handling of Personal Information during employment and after retirement of the Employees.
(3) In the event the Company entrusts the management of Personal Information to a third party, the Company shall exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over such third party in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
5.Disclosure, Correction, Deletion, and Suspension of Use of Personal Information
With respect to the request for disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use of Personal Information ("Request for Disclosure"), the Company will respond to such request within a reasonable scope and within a reasonable period of time only in the event that such request satisfies the requirements of laws and regulations and the identity of such person is confirmed through the procedures stipulated by the Company (or, in the case of an agent, the authority of representation is confirmed).
The Company shall be entitled to request the requestee to present matters necessary for the identification of his/her data so that the disclosure procedures can be carried out smoothly. If any necessary data is insufficient, the Company may not be able to respond to Request for Disclosure.
In order to prevent spoofing, the Company may request the person or his/her authorized agent (the sub-agent shall not be subject to a request for disclosure, etc.) to submit materials necessary for identity confirmation. If you do not submit the necessary documents, you will not be able to respond to the request for disclosure.
6.Changes to the Personal Information Protection Policy
Any changes to our Personal Information protection policy shall be implemented without prior notice and announced at this website. Changes to the Personal Information Protection Policy shall be applied after the date of publication indicated below.
